‘You Have to Create Your Own Meaning’, Says Man Wasting His Life Away
Wasting all of his energy on negative thinking, useless pursuits, and self-harming behavior, 32-year-old Damien Lorre talked about the importance of creating your own meaning instead of looking for it.
“Life is what you make of it, you know? Whether you find meaning in being kind to others, in creating something useful, or just in being happy”, said Lorre, who’s currently wasting his life by spending several hours a day on social media, comparing himself to others, and procrastinating on his dreams.
“I say who cares what the meaning of life is, just enjoy it! What if that’s the meaning of life, just to enjoy it? I think people are overthinking this. Take joy in the small things, spend your energy wisely by pouring out your hatred toward the right people, and have a calculated strategy on how to take revenge on the people who hurt you whom you shall never forgive.”
After quitting his job and assaulting a police officer while he was drunk, Lorre said it was of crucial importance to “just do whatever feels right in the moment.”
