Xbox CEO’s Speech Interrupted By Mom Who Just Made Dinner
While he was in the middle of a speech about the future of video games, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer had to put an abrupt end to his presentation after his mom interrupted him to say dinner was ready.
“And this is why, if we consider NFTs — wait, I’m sorry, I think my mom is calling me. Yeah mom, what? No, I’m busy. What’s that? Mashed potatoes? Ugh, okay, I’ll be right there”, said Spencer, who had no choice but to interrupt his important speech in order not to upset his mother, who cooked him a delicious dinner even though he’s a grown up multimillionaire.
“Goddammit, doesn’t she know by now that I can’t just press pause in the middle of a freaking speech? I’ve been in this industry since forever, and she still doesn’t get that she’s not supposed to bother me during a historic livestream where I’m about to announce an industry-changing technology. On the other hand, it’s my favorite meal, so I’m sorry guys, but I’m going to have to bail.”
After coming back to his presentation half an hour later, it was reported that Spencer started looking at porn before his mother brought him apple pie.
